Our chef, Frank Roda attended culinary school in 1985, the first class of Hudson County Community College Culinary Arts. Roda continued with his apprenticeship at the Aratusa in Secaucus, NJ. In less than two years while learning as a line cook, he became the head chef for about six months. He jumped at the opportunity when he received a call from the previous chef to join him in Florida to work for and entrepreneur who owned three restaurants.

Raffelo’s in Boca Raton, 276 in Coral Gables and the Tuscany Villa in West Palm Beach. Upon returning to NJ some years later, Roda opened up his first restaurant, Francesco’s to astounding reviews. At that point Chef Roda’s career flourished as he found himself cooking with the likes of Wolfgang Puck, Anthony Bourdown and many sports, television and movie stars.

Roda was always honored to be a part of the Olympic torch celebration in 1996 as it passed through Jersey City, NJ. He was a speaker on the history of Italian Foods and restaurants in Jersey City. Chef Frank has been featured in New Jersey Monthly Magazine, Good Morning America and has been reviewed with 3 and 4 star ratings.
